Bhangra and Belonging: South Asian Music in the Diaspora

Next Monday, April 7th from 4:00 to 5:30 PM at 554 Barrows, there will be an event called Bhangra and Belonging: South Asian Music in the Diaspora.

There will be a book talk by Falu Bakrania, author of Bhangra and Asian Underground: South Asian Music and the Politics of Belonging in Britain.

There will also a discussion with Vicki Virk, cofounder of Dholrhythms  Dance Co. and Non Stop Bhangra, an award winning event voted as one of the best dance floor nights in San Francisco.
