Virtual Field Study
AAADS 197 is a 1-unit online field study opportunity that offers a transformative and meaningful work-based learning experience for undergraduate students pursuing careers in community health. The field study allows students to integrate knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting. Students will experience networking opportunities with healthcare professionals and providers from various community clinics, health centers, and community-based organizations across the San Francisco Bay Area. For Spring 2021, students will receive up-to-date training related to the COVID-19 pandemic affecting Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities.
*The field study can only be taken after completion of approved courses under CAACH (approved courses in Asian and Asian American History, Introduction to Community Health, and Contemporary AAPI Community Health Issues).
