This panel examines the role of American Empire in the Philippines, including the Philippine-American War, the role of education in colonization, the institutionalization of white supremacy, and how American imperialism continues to shape the lived experiences of Filipinos in the Philippines and the United States today. Panelists will engage these issues through an intersectional perspective and with various disciplinary approaches.
