The AAADS Program is lucky to have three wonderful undergraduate program assistants this academic year. They will be coordinating AAADS events and the Program’s online presence, working to attract more students as majors and minors, and developing connections with alumni and the greater Asian American community. Please feel free to reach out to them with any questions at email@example.com.
I’m STEVEN CONG and I’m currently in my last semester at UC Berkeley. I rap, play tennis, and drink boba in my spare time. I’m excited for life after college, and am looking into post-secondary education as a possible next step in my ultimate goal of becoming a professor.
KELLY HAMACHI is a third year Public Health major and AAADS minor. She has been an active member of the Nikkei Student Union, and the Berkeley chapter of the Japanese American Citizen’s League (JACL). She worked last summer as an intern in San Jose Japantown, and continues to volunteer with the Japanese American Museum of San Jose (JAMsj). Kelly also started working with Asian Immigrant Women Advocates’ (AIWA) youth program this semester. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, baking, and DIY crafting, and is excited to be working with the AAADS this year as a program assistant.
DENNIS YEE is a fourth year Statistics and AAADS double major. As a fourth generation Chinese American with ancestors working in the mines in CA and running a supermarket chain in San Jose, Dennis is the first in his family to go to college. In his final year of his undergraduate career, he hopes to go into student affairs afterwards to help students feel comfortable and accepted in college.
