Jere Takahashi

Jere Takahashi (PhD, Sociology, UC Berkeley) teaches AAS 146:  Asian Americans and Education, and AAS 122: Japanese American Historical and Contemporary Issues.  His research interests include Japanese American studies, Asian American sporting practices, Asian American student life in higher education, and engaged learning in Asian American communities. He is also the Director of Asian Pacific American Student Development, a source for student initiated programs designed to improve campus climate for Asian American and Pacific Islander students.
